Music Porn- if there's such a thing?

Adele- Hello.

Don't really think I need to say anymore.... She's smashed it with this one. She released the music video on Friday last week, and since then people all over the world have been going crazy for the track. Within forty-eight hours the music video had been viewed more than fifty million times! I have always liked Adele, and after not hearing from her for a while this has definitely been a nice little return!

If you're feeling a little party then this Paul Damixie remix is a good'un.

Enjoy.

Lotsa Love,

Rosie

Video Review: Sia - 'Chanderlier'

So I have only just seen the video to Sia's latest song 'Chandelier' which is taken off her sixth studio album, '1000 Forms Of Fear', I absolutely love the song it's powerful and catchy and Sia's vocals never fail to impress me.

However I couldn't help but feel a little creeped out by the dancer/gymnast in the video. I couldn't decide if I liked it or loved it, the girl in the video is absolutely tiny and so I wondered if she is in fact a young teenage girl, however her face looked older. The choreography was bizzare but brilliant at the same time. I couldn't knock the fact that the girl had moves.

But when the song finished I was left feeling unsure as to whether I liked the video or not.

So I did a bit of research into the meaning of the song and to find out a bit more about the dancer. Turns out the girl in the video is in fact an 11-year-old girl, by the name of  Maddie Ziegler. Ziegler was personally asked by Sia to feature in the video via Twitter!

The lyrics reflect a sad theme, talking about the "glitter and fatigue of a party girl's life." John Walker from MTV Buzzworthy opined that the song has a dark theme, "toeing the line between celebration and self-destruction as it becomes increasingly more blurred."

The video was directed by Sia herself and Daniel Askill and was choreographed by Ryan Heffington.

In the video, Ziegler wears a blonde bobbed Sia wig, whilst she dances around the deserted room, kicking, spinning, twisting, bending, leaping, falling, crawling and hiding behind the window's curtains.

The choreography was praised in the media, Nolan Feenay from Time magazine even commented that the dance moves in 'Chandelier' could be the best dance routine of 2014.

So watch the video and tell me what you think of it...

My pick of the week: Nicky Night Time- 'Everybody Together'

So these past few days have been so hectic, I have been back and forth to Birmingham as I applied to be cabin crew for Emirates. I had my final interview yesterday and have all the bones in my body crossed praying to the flying gods that I will get the job. Only time will tell.

Cutting to the chase, this song is a corker, I love it.

So whack it on and enjoy.

Album Of The Week- Clean Bandit 'New Eyes'

Where do I begin with this group? Clean Bandit are truly amazing!

What I like most about them is they are not afraid to be different and they have really embraced their individuality. With elements of classical music combined with upbeat dance tones their style is something really unique.

Members include:

Jack Patterson on bass guitar and keyboard, Luke Patterson on drums, Grace Chatto on chello and Milan Neil Amin-Smith on violin.

Their new album due to be released on 2nd June 2014, New Eyes, is simply magical. It includes their first top twenty single 'Mozart's House', the albums third single, 'Dust Clears', their fourth single 'Rather Be' featuring Jess Glynne which was their first chart number one and their latest single 'Extraordinary' featuring Sharna Bass.

Like most songs/albums I discover and take a likening to this album is one of those that I have listened to over and over again and it still kills it every time.

If you haven't seen the video yet for 'Extraordinary' then you are in for a real treat!

Enjoy
